Looking for Inspiration for Gifts for Babies and Children this Christmas?

Hello!  I’m Jennifer (50% of the Scamp sisters who design and make a range of colourful printed baby wear, personalised kids rooms accessories, wooden laser cut decorations and gifts for those a bit older than being a kid too!).   I’m really excited to be taking part in my first Etsy Made Local Fair in Crouch End next month – I’ll be there on Saturday 3rd December.

In a world full of (too many) high street purchases for kids it is really special to buy something directly from a designer maker.  Luckily the Crouch End market has an array of gorgeous gifts and goodies that can be bought for your little ones and I’ve chosen a few of my favourites for you!

Kicking off our Etsy kids christmas list would have to be these fab sibling pyjamas with a very festive Reindeer (and cute as pom pom nose!) on them from PJ Mamma – a perfect combo for a toddler and a baby brother or sister!

Or what about celebrating a first Christmas in style?  This baby grow from Scamp adds a touch of gold sparkliness to Christmas day proceedings!

Now look at this gorgeous handmade backpack from Koco Kids!  Available in lots of cool Japanese fabric designs and colours – perfect for a toddler to fill with all their ‘important’ finds and bits and pieces!

Christmas day wouldn’t be complete without children decked in their finest party dress or outfit ready to enjoy their dinner!   I think it is definitely the Scot in me that loves this sweet tartan wool boys bow tie from Vincent Elvis and my little boy l would look super cute in it 🙂

And a twist on a classic Christmas present for grown ups … slippers!  But aren’t these the most gorgeous baby version?  Divine Child Designs’ African Kente print baby shoes would look so lovely and bright with a little Christmas outfit … and there is a matching bib to help mop up the Turkey gravy too!

And it’s not just the clothing that we are loving – my kids adored their wooden building blocks when they were little (only because I didn’t know about these little monochrome beauties from Too Many PJs’ shop!).  If I had another baby I’d be buying these straight away!  I’m really loving how super soft the fabric ones are meaning that even the littlest babies can be playing with them and building towers (maybe with a little help from their Mama!).

Finally, let’s not forget about the rest of the family!  Scamp has created a snowman family of personalised decorations so one can be bought for each member – including the dog or the cat!  A keepsake set of decorations to be brought out every year!

The Etsy Made Local London Market is on for two days on the 3rd and 4th December and is definitely the place to come for some truly original and unusual gifts for little people this year!  Head toalong Hornsey Town Hall between 11 and 5 for a chance to see some great gift ideas.

Please do come along to Scamp’s stand and say hi to me!  You’ll recognise me behind a batch of Christmas baby wear, lots of wooden christmas tree decorations with some pops of neon coming through as well in our gift bags!  Quite easy to spot 😉

And if you can’t make it to the markets you can always find Scamp on etsy at www.wearescamp.etsy.com or our own website is www.wearescamp.co.uk
