Gift Guide for Plant Lovers - Christmas 2017 - London Local Etsy Market

The Etsy Made Local Christmas Market 2017 is coming up soon at the Tooting Tram Shed and Social in South London on 2nd December 2017, from 11am until 5pm. In the run up to the market we are bringing you a series of Christmas gift guides to help you figure out what to get for your friends and family. We know how hard it is to keep on coming up with ideas for the people in your life who seem to have everything. But, with our handy gift guides, full of ideas from local designers and makers that will be selling their goods at the market on 2nd December, it's going to be a whole lot easier for you!

This week, we're bringing you a gift guide for nature lovers.

Nature Lovers Christmas Gift Guide

1. A gold foil palm leaf print by Hello Marilu.

Why not get your palm-loving friend an elegant piece of art that they can hang in their home? You can choose from an emerald green background, or olive green. Or if you really can't choose, we think they'd look great framed side-by-side.

2. A sparkly cactus make up bag by Suzie London

This make up bag is so perfect for your eco-warrior mate who refuses to buy anything but organic, cruelty-free make up. The cotton itself is organic, and the Suzie London cactus design has been printed using eco-friendly inks.

3. A Palm Leaf Brooch by Lucie Ellen

This simple brooch has a beautifully subtle black speckled pattern on the palm leaves. Its heptagon shape is the icing on the cake, when it comes to this impeccably designed piece of jewellery. The brooch would be wonderful on your cool aunt who's a bit of a fashionista and is digging the greenery trend right now.

4. An Embroidered flower hoop by Zuzana Lalikova

This flower hoop works in multiple ways. It would make both your more traditional friend and your granny smile, just as much as it would your friend who loves all things vintage and is a self-confessed hipster! Embroidery has had such a huge upsurge in popularity recently, both in the fashion industry and the interior design field. We're loving the fact that we can buy one gift for our grandma and one gift for our trendiest friend, both from the same place - Zuzana Lalikova!

Are you feeling more inspired now? Why not come to our Etsy Made Local Christmas market to discover more amazing designers, like the talented ones we've featured in this post? All four of these designers will be at the market, plus thirty-something more!

In the run up to Christmas, we will be sharing plenty more blog posts in the form of handy gift guides. Of course, there's nothing like going to the market itself. Going in person means making your own discoveries and finding your own new favourite local designer-makers. So, make sure you save the event in your diary.
