Christmas Gift Guide: Gifts for the home

1. Scalloped Edge Dessert Plates by K C Hossack Pottery

These beautifully handmade dessert plates are made from stoneware clay by Karin Hossack in her London studio. What's amazing about them, is that they not only look super pretty with their scallop edge detailing, but they are actually dishwasher safe! That's a win-win in our books.

2. A copper candelabra by Slinky Home

This copper candelabra has just the right balance of contemporary design and romantic warmth to it. The copper, industrial trend isn't going away anytime soon, and this piece would add that beautiful glowing feeling to any Christmas dinner table.

Slinky Home makes these candelabras with two candle holders or just one. We love both... decisions, decisions!

3. A patterned tea towel by Natalie Lea Owen

This tea towel is not for the faint hearted, but if you're buying a present for someone with a big, bright, bubbly personality and a love of vibrant colours, then voilà! We love the nod to the nineties this tea towel gives, with its neon and pastel tones and its geometric and squiggly shapes.

Why not come to our Etsy Made Local Christmas market to discover more amazing designers, like the talented ones we've featured in this post? All four of these designers will be at the market, plus thirty-something more.

In the run up to Christmas, we will be sharing plenty more blog posts in the form of handy gift guides. Of course, there's nothing like going to the market itself. Going in person means making your own discoveries and finding your own new favourite local designer-makers. So, make sure you save the event in your diary.
